Dishoom has revealed its Leeds menu - including exclusive dishes you won't find anywhere else

The countdown to Dishoom Leeds is well and truly on.

With reservations now officially open (https://www.dishoom.com/leeds/), the much-loved Bombay café has revealed the menu heading to its first Yorkshire location - and alongside all the iconic dishes we've been waiting for, there are a few Leeds exclusives that you'll only be able to order here.

Opening on 3rd August on Vicar Lane, Dishoom's newest café will serve everything from the legendary Bacon Naan Roll and House Black Daal to three brand-new creations inspired by Leeds and its thriving food scene.

Leading the line-up is the Malvani Lamb Curry, created especially for the Leeds café.

Inspired by the Konkan coast of Maharashtra, the dish features slow-cooked leg of lamb in a rich, fragrant curry made with roasted coconut, cardamom, chillies, turmeric and pippali pepper. It's served with flaky Laccha Paratha for scooping up every last bit of sauce, alongside a fresh onion salad. It already sounds like one of those dishes we'll be ordering on repeat.

The Leeds exclusives don't stop there.

Dishoom has also partnered with one of the city's best-loved breweries, Northern Monk, to create Kohra IPA, brewed exclusively for the new restaurant. The crisp West Coast session IPA has been designed to pair perfectly with Dishoom's bold Bombay flavours, making it a collaboration that feels incredibly fitting for the city.

There's also an exclusive cocktail making its Leeds debut. Samir's Vice is Dishoom's playful take on a Miami Vice, blending pineapple, strawberry and Takamaka Seychelles Rum Blanc before being clarified with coconut milk for a silky finish. Finished with cardamom bitters and a dehydrated pineapple wheel, it sounds like the perfect summer drink.

Of course, the dishes that have earned Dishoom its cult following aren't going anywhere.

The menu will still feature favourites including the Bacon Naan Roll, Chicken Ruby, House Black Daal, biryanis, grills and, naturally, Dishoom's famous house chai.

If you somehow haven't experienced the House Black Daal yet, consider this your sign. Slowly cooked for 24 hours, it's one of the restaurant's most iconic dishes and the sort of thing people genuinely crave long after they've left.

Leeds diners won't have to wait long to try it all.

The café opens with a soft launch from 3rd August, where guests can enjoy 50% off food ahead of the official opening on 14th August.

Like Dishoom's other cafés, Leeds will operate primarily as a walk-in restaurant, although bookings are now open for breakfast and lunch, with a limited number of dinner reservations also available.

After years of waiting, it's safe to say Leeds is more than ready. And with exclusive dishes, a collaboration with Northern Monk and all the Dishoom classics we've been hoping for, it feels like the city is getting a pretty special first café.
