A new Pilates spot has landed in Macclesfield, and after heading down for a Saturday morning class on 21st March, it’s already shaping up to be a must visit studio.
First impressions really do count and from the moment you step into Studio Etta it feels like a little escape from the outside world. The space is modern and beautifully put together, while still maintaining a cosy, welcoming atmosphere. It’s filled with natural light, creating a fresh and airy environment, with a calm, tranquil energy that instantly helps you switch off and settle in.
The studio is owned by Ashleigh, who leads the classes, and she brings such a warm, approachable energy to the room. Everything was explained clearly, with plenty of encouragement throughout, and she has a natural way of making everyone feel comfortable, no matter their experience level. I brought my mum along for her first ever reformer Pilates class, and within minutes she was completely at ease. Ashleigh made sure the class worked for all abilities, offering support and adjustments where needed.

With just six reformer beds, the whole experience feels much more personal than your typical class. It’s intimate without being intimidating, and you get that extra level of attention and guidance which makes a huge difference, especially if you’re new or want to refine your technique.
In terms of classes, there are currently two to choose from: foundation and mixed ability. The foundation class is ideal if you’re just getting started or want a more supportive pace, while the mixed ability class brings a more dynamic, full-body burn, with options to level things up if you’re feeling confident.
Being based in Macclesfield makes it such a convenient find for locals, but it’s also well worth travelling for if you’re nearby and fancy trying something new.
There’s also a great launch offer running - three classes for £36 - which feels like the perfect excuse to give it a go without overcommitting.
Overall, Studio Etta Pilates nails that balance of being stylish, welcoming and genuinely enjoyable. Whether you’re brand new to reformer or already hooked, it’s the kind of place you’ll leave feeling stronger, calmer, and already planning your next visit.
