The Other Art Fair is returning to London this October
If your walls are crying out for something new, or you simply fancy spending an afternoon discovering some of the UK’s most exciting emerging artists, The Other Art Fair is back in London this October.
Returning to The Truman Brewery on Brick Lane from 8th - 11th October, the four-day fair will bring together more than 135 independent artists, alongside photography, DJs, live creative experiences and plenty of opportunities to actually meet the people behind the work.
Presented by Saatchi Art, The Other Art Fair has always set out to make the art world feel a little less intimidating. Rather than hushed galleries and works you’re afraid to ask the price of, visitors can browse and buy directly from artists across painting, photography, sculpture and more, with nearly 80% of this year’s exhibitors based in the UK.
The artists to know
Four artists will make their London fair debut this year, including Birmingham-born, London-based painter Holly Garbett, whose nostalgic oil paintings take inspiration from family photographs, and Korean-American artist Courtney Bae, whose expressive work explores trauma, resilience and identity.
Also joining the line-up are Danielle Verbeeten, known for incredibly detailed hyperrealistic pastel works, and Emmanuelle Walker, whose paintings turn everyday scenes, patterns and fragments of light into something altogether more abstract.
The fair's New Futures programme will also spotlight two recent Central Saint Martins graduates. Kitty Jenkins explores ideas around the female form, mythology and identity, while British South Asian artist Rajesh Bhovan takes inspiration from old Hollywood and Bollywood cinema.
More than an art fair
There’s plenty happening beyond the exhibition stands, too.
Celebrated British photographer Amelia Troubridge joins as this year’s Guest Artist, presenting work from her England archive spanning 1995 to 2023. Expect portraits of familiar faces including Steve Coogan, Nick Cave and Olivia Colman, alongside photographs documenting almost three decades of British culture. Troubridge will also be at the fair throughout the weekend, giving visitors the chance to meet her and hear more about the stories behind the images.
Friday night brings a little Ibiza energy to Brick Lane, with legendary nightlife institution Manumission taking over for a special Friday Lates programme of DJs, music and conversation, including a session around its new book, The Motel.
On Saturday, London collective Club Lune Bleue will take over the soundtrack with a line-up of resident DJs and guests, while resident typewriter poet Luke will be stationed at the bar throughout the fair, turning visitors’ chosen subjects into one-off poems typed on the spot.
Starting your own collection?
You don’t need a gallery-sized budget. The popular Under £300 Collection is returning, bringing together a curated selection of original works from exhibiting artists, all priced at £300 or less.
It’s a good place to start if you’ve always liked the idea of owning original art but haven’t quite known where to begin - and, importantly, you’ll be buying directly from the independent artists creating it.
The Other Art Fair takes place at The Truman Brewery, 85 Brick Lane, London, from Thursday 8th - Sunday 11th October 2026. Opening night runs from 5pm - 10pm on Thursday, with the fair continuing across Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
