A weekend of live music, exceptional food, award-winning wines
and giant-format celebrations at the home of English wine.

Chapel Down, England’s leading sparkling wine producer, is inviting wine lovers to experience a celebration on a grand scale at the inaugural Chapel Down Magnum Festival, taking place on Saturday 5th September (12pm -8pm) and Sunday 6th September (12pm - 6pm) at its winery estate in Tenterden, Kent.
Designed as the ultimate celebration of English wine, the Magnum Festival will bring together outstanding wines, live music, great food and unforgettable hospitality at Chapel Down’s winery estate in the heart of the Garden of England.
As England's leading sparkling wine producer, one of the country's premier wine tourism destinations, and the producer of one of the UK's broadest ranges of magnum-format wines, there's no better place to celebrate English wine on a grand scale than Chapel Down.
Named after the magnum, the large-format bottle often associated with celebrations and shared occasions, the festival is inspired by the joy of bringing people together over great wine, food and company. Increasingly sought after by wine lovers and collectors alike, magnums are prized not only for their theatre and sense of occasion, but also for the way wines can age and develop in larger formats. Chapel Down has seen growing demand for magnums across its range, with the recent launch of its Rosé Magnum at Royal Ascot selling out during the event.
The magnum experience will sit at the heart of the festival weekend. Guests will be welcomed with a complimentary glass of Chapel Down Brut served from magnum on arrival, setting the tone for a celebration of English wine in its most impressive format. Throughout the weekend, magnums will be available to order from the festival bars alongside Chapel Down's wider selection of award-winning sparkling and still wines.
Visitors can also deepen their appreciation of English wine through exclusive Magnum Masterclasses, where they will discover the unique qualities and ageing potential of wines bottled in larger formats. Guests will have the opportunity to taste three of Chapel Down's magnums: Rosé, Grand Reserve and Kit's Coty Blanc de Blancs.
Guests will be able to explore the winery estate while enjoying live music, exceptional food from some of the region’s best restaurants, as well as bars serving Chapel Down’s award-winning sparkling and still wines.
“The Chapel Down Magnum Festival brings together our passion for exceptional English wine, our stunning winery estate and our belief that the best moments in life are shared.” Susie Goldsmith, Head of PR, Sponsorships & Events said, adding: “Magnums have always represented celebration, generosity and bringing people together, making them the perfect inspiration for a festival. As England’s leading sparkling wine producer, we're proud to be creating a festival that celebrates the very best of English wine culture. We’re looking forward to welcoming guests for a weekend of unforgettable experiences."
