Manchester’s luxury hotel scene is about to level up with the unveiling of a new penthouse suite at The Medlock, a Radisson Blu Hotel.
Set across two floors, the new space has been designed to offer a more private, elevated stay in the city, with panoramic views stretching across Manchester’s skyline and out towards Co-op Live.

The penthouse combines scale with detail. Inside, you’ll find two bedrooms, two bathrooms, an additional washroom, and a separate living and dining space, all designed with a more residential feel in mind. Floor-to-ceiling windows run throughout, bringing in natural light and making the most of the views, while a private terrace adds an outdoor element that’s rare for a city stay.

Positioned close to the Etihad Campus and Co-op Live, the hotel sits at the centre of one of Manchester’s fastest-growing areas for sport, culture and entertainment. With major events continuing to draw visitors to the city, the demand for high-end, private accommodation has grown - and this feels like a direct response to that.
What sets the penthouse apart is the level of privacy built into the experience. It has its own dedicated entrance, separate from the main hotel, along with an express lift connecting both floors and offering direct access to the hotel’s private dining spaces. There’s also a personal concierge service, with the option to arrange a private chef, making it feel closer to a fully serviced apartment than a traditional hotel suite.

For guests travelling with additional staff or family, there’s also the option of an adjoining suite, adding another layer of flexibility to the stay.
The design itself leans into a more modern, understated luxury. Clean lines, refined finishes and a focus on comfort rather than excess - the kind of space that works just as well for a longer stay as it does for a one-off occasion.

With over 400 rooms, The Medlock is already positioning itself as one of Manchester’s key hotel openings, but the penthouse adds something more exclusive to the mix. It’s aimed at those looking for a more discreet, high-end experience in the city, whether that’s for events, match days or simply a more elevated stay.

Set to open later this year, it’s one to have on your radar if you’re looking for a luxury hotel in Manchester with a bit more space, privacy and a strong sense of place.
