A city escape to The Met Hotel Leeds

I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Met Hotel Leeds, right in the heart of the city, ahead of its launch party to celebrate the newly renovated hotel -  and wow, what an experience!

From the moment you step inside, the amazing scent hits you, and you just know you’re in for something special. The reception team were lovely, friendly, and ready to check me in. My room wasn’t quite ready at first, but no problem - they sorted me into another room quickly so I could start my stay sooner. 

The room itself? Absolute perfection. Cosy yet modern, with the comfiest bed (seriously, I could have napped all day) and a gorgeous bathroom - basically a mini oasis. Perfect for getting glammed up for a night of celebrations.

Downstairs, the launch party was in full swing, and the food spread was next-level. Never-ending canapés, grazing boards, and bowl food galore - I left completely stuffed but very, very happy. Everything felt effortless; the staff were warm, welcoming, and nothing was too much trouble.

The hotel itself is a beautiful blend of historic charm and modern style. With its Victorian architecture, contemporary interiors, and prime Leeds city centre location, it’s the perfect spot for a luxury staycation, a girls’ night, or even a fancy weekend getaway. And being just minutes from Park Square, Greek Street, the Trinity Centre, and Victoria Gate? Total win for city explorers.
