The Municipal Hotel launches glamorous new Roaring Twenties afternoon tea – with 25% off throughout August

If you're looking for an excuse to indulge in afternoon tea this summer, The Municipal Hotel & Spa Liverpool has just unveiled a brand-new experience inspired by the glamour of the Roaring Twenties – and it's launching just in time for Afternoon Tea Week.

Available in the hotel's beautiful Botanic Tearoom, the new Nineteen-Twent-Teas Afternoon Tea pays homage to the heritage of the iconic Grade II listed building while adding a contemporary twist to the classic British tradition.

To celebrate the launch, guests can enjoy 25% off the Classic Afternoon Tea throughout August, making it the perfect time to experience one of Liverpool's most elegant afternoon offerings.

The menu begins with a selection of savoury bites including a pork and herb sausage roll with black garlic ketchup, roasted tomato and pimento velouté, and a goat's cheese bon bon with beetroot. Finger sandwiches include rare roasted beef with horseradish cream, crayfish roll with Bloody Mary dressing and caviar, cream cheese and cucumber on granary, and truffle egg mayonnaise with baby watercress.

Those with a sweet tooth can look forward to handcrafted pastries including a strawberry and tonka bean macaron finished with gold, gooseberry curd meringue tart, apple crumble dome, and an amarena cherry and chocolate fancy fondant. Of course, no afternoon tea would be complete without warm scones served with local clotted cream and fruit preserve, all paired with a curated selection of premium JING teas.

Served in the light-filled Botanic Tearoom, it's an experience that feels made for long catch-ups, celebrations or simply slowing down for a few hours in one of Liverpool's most beautiful settings.

The launch also coincides with Afternoon Tea Week (10th -16th August), making it an ideal excuse to discover the hotel's latest dining experience. The 25% saving is available seven days a week throughout August and excludes Champagne Afternoon Tea packages.
