There’s something about finding a brand you genuinely love - especially when it comes with a great Yorkshire success story behind it too.
Over the last few weeks, we’ve been trying a selection of products from HECK - the Yorkshire-born food brand known for its sausages, burgers and more recently, its huge range of chicken-based products - and honestly, everything we tried completely delivered.
Founded in North Yorkshire, HECK has built a huge following over the years thanks to products that feel slightly different from the standard supermarket offering. The branding is fun, the flavours are bold and everything feels made by people who actually care about what they’re producing.
And after trying our way through a very full fridge of HECK products, it’s easy to see why people are so loyal to the brand.

A lot of it ended up straight onto the BBQ which really elevated the flavours. We chucked on the Steak & Butter Burgers, Minted Lamb Burgers and Chicken Italia Sausages for a mid-week feast and it seriously delivered.
The Steak & Butter Burgers were rich, juicy and full of flavour, they tasted far more premium than your average burger, with the butter giving them this extra richness that made them feel properly indulgent.

The Minted Lamb Burgers were another surprise favourite - fresh, flavourful and something slightly different from the usual BBQ lineup.
The Chicken Italia sausages charred perfectly and were next level stuffed in a brioche bun with some mustard and onions.

Lets just say the summer BBQ line up is now tried, tested and approved - it's very much giving HECK girl summer.
We also tried the Chicken Red Pepper & Feta Chipolatas and the wider chicken range, which worked brilliantly in the air fryer for easier lunches and midweek dinners. The Chicken Sausage Rashers quickly became a breakfast staple too, especially alongside sourdough and eggs in the morning.
What HECK gets right is that the products still feel convenient and easy, but without tasting overly processed or bland in the way supermarket food sometimes can. Everything felt packed with flavour, well-seasoned and genuinely enjoyable to eat.
There’s nothing better than finding and supporting a Yorkshire business that’s grown into such a huge success story while still keeping that sense of personality around the brand.
And while we definitely have favourites now, there honestly wasn’t a single thing we tried that we wouldn’t buy again.
